Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both reportedly pushing to sign Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar before the end of this summer's transfer window.
The Frenchman's future has been the subject of much speculation over the last few weeks, with a number of clubs credited with an interest in his services.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, there is firm interest from both Arsenal and Tottenham, and the race for the 23-year-old's signature could go to transfer deadline day.
"I would keep an eye on Aouar until the last day of the window because now still some rumours we have with Tottenham and with Arsenal," Romano said on Don Robbie's YouTube channel.
"These two clubs are really interested in Aouar. Fabio Paratici (Tottenham director) wanted him one year ago when he was at Juventus. He had to make a decision between Aouar and Chiesa, they decided to go for Federico Chiesa."
Aouar has played the full 90 minutes in both of Lyon's league matches this season, while he has made 172 appearances for the French giants over the last five years.
