RB Leipzig are prepared to accept a cut-price figure of £17m for Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur-linked playmaker Marcel Sabitzer, according to a report.

RB Leipzig may reportedly be prepared to accept a cut-price figure of £17m for Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur-linked playmaker Marcel Sabitzer.

The Austria international only has a year left to run on his current deal with the Bundesliga side, who are running the risk of losing him on a free in the summer of 2022.

As a result, Sabitzer is expected to be available for transfer should he refuse to commit to a new deal, and negotiations over fresh terms between the two parties are said to have hit a brick wall.

According to German outlet Bild, Sabitzer possesses a £42.9m release clause in his current deal, but Leipzig have slashed their asking price to £17m in order to avoid losing him for nothing in 12 months.

Arsenal and Spurs have long been linked with a move for the 27-year-old, but the report adds that Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan have also been alerted to Sabitzer's availability.

The former Red Bull Salzburg lynchpin has scored 52 goals and set up 42 more in 227 appearances for Leipzig since arriving in Germany six years ago.
