Report: Arsenal and Chelsea lock horns over Bayer Leverkusen star Leon Bailey

Arsenal are reportedly looking to battle with Premier League rivals Chelsea over a move for Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey.

Arsenal have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, according to reports.

The 20-year-old signed for the Bundesliga giants in January from Belgian side Genk and has been in impressive form for his new club.

Despite having only made nine starts in the German top flight, Bailey has been widely tipped to move on to a top European club in the future, with the Blues believed to be interested.

According to The Mirror, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is prepared to test Leverkusen's resolve with a £15m bid for the Jamaica Under-23 international next year.

Premier League rivals Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in Bailey alongside a number of clubs in Italy and Spain.
