Arsenal reportedly join Newcastle United in the race for Reims attacker Hugo Ekitike, who has also been linked with Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund.

Newcastle United will reportedly face competition from Arsenal for the signature of Reims attacker Hugo Ekitike.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough in the youthful Rouges et Blancs squad this season with 10 goals and three assists in 23 matches across all competitions.

Twelve of those 13 contributions have come in Ligue 1, and Newcastle failed in their attempts to prise Ekitike away from Reims in the January transfer window.

Newcastle are expected to reignite their interest ahead of the 2022-23 season, but according to Chronicle Live, Arsenal are also in the hunt for the teenager's signature.

Ekitike has missed his side's last five games in Ligue 1 with a hamstring injury, though, and he has supposedly suffered a fresh setback which will keep him out for another few weeks.

Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in Ekitike, whose deal with Reims expires at the end of the 2023-24 season.
