Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh emerges as a reported transfer target for Besiktas.

Turkish outfit Besiktas could reportedly move for Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh before the start of the season.

The 28-year-old has endured a difficult two seasons in English football after joining from Marseille in 2010, and it is understood that he is keen to depart the Gunners.

According to Goal.com, Besiktas will table an offer in the region of £4m for the Moroccan as they attempt to ready themselves for the new campaign.

Chamakh has scored 17 goals in 61 games for his country.
