Bordeaux willing to re-sign Marouane Chamakh

Bordeaux president Jean Louis Triaud admits that he wants to re-sign Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh in the summer.

Bordeaux president Jean Louis Triaud has revealed that he has spoken to out-of-favour Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh about re-signing for the French club.

The Morocco international's future at the Emirates has been up in the air in recent months, with reports claiming that Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are keen on clinching the frontman.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has claimed that he is in the dark over Chamakh's future plans, but Triaud has admitted that he wants to bring back the 28-year-old, who left for London in 2010.

"I have spoken with Marouane and told him that he is welcome at Bordeaux and that we still have room for him," Triaud told RMC.

"The main problem will be financial because he has tasted the salaries in England and Arsenal will ask for a fee. Chamakh has told me that if he was to return to France, it would be at Bordeaux."

The forward has admitted that he wants to stay at Arsenal and fight for his place but is willing to leave the Emirates if the club decide to part ways.
