Arsene Wenger casts doubt on Marouane Chamakh's future at Arsenal following the shisha pipe controversy.

Arsene Wenger has said that it is "too early" to say whether Marouane Chamakh will be an Arsenal player come next season.

The Moroccan striker was pictured smoking a shisha pipe following last weekend's defeat to Queens Park Rangers.

Doubt has been cast on his future at the Emirates Stadium following the incident and Wenger has said that the 28-year-old must focus on playing.

"It's not the best thing to do," said Wenger. "Will he stay at club next season? It's too early to say. We want him to focus completely - without smoking."

Chamakh moved to Arsenal from Bordeaux in 2010.
