Celtic keen to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez?

Celtic are reportedly keen on signing Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez for the rest of the season, although the final decision will be left to Spanish side Getafe.

Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Celtic.

The Scottish giants were dealt a blow earlier this month when it emerged that Craig Gordon would spend three months on the sidelines with a knee injury, leaving manager Brendan Rodgers on the lookout for a replacement.

According to The Sun, Rodgers is keen on signing Martinez for the remainder of the campaign, but any switch depends on the wishes of Getafe.

Martinez has spent much of the season on the bench at the Spanish side - where is his tied down to a year-long loan spell - but first-choice stopper Vicente Guaita has been heavily linked with Crystal Palace.

Guaita has a pre-contract agreement with the Eagles, but the Premier League outfit are currently negotiating over a transfer before the end of the month.
