Everton boss Ronald Koeman could move for Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck in this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman is reportedly weighing up a move for Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck.

The likes of Wayne Rooney and Sandro Ramirez have arrived at Goodison Park this summer to boost the Everton attack, but Koeman admitted last month that he still wants to sign another centre-forward.

Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud has been linked with a move to Merseyside, but according to The Mirror, Koeman is ready to admit defeat in his pursuit of the France international, and will instead launch a £30m move for his teammate Welbeck.

Welbeck, 26, joined Arsenal from Manchester United in the summer of 2014, and the England international has scored 17 times in 69 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions.

Everton, who continue to pursue a deal for Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, will open their 2017-18 Premier League campaign at home to Stoke City on August 12.
