Hector Bellerin pours doubt over Arsenal exit

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin insists that he is "happy" in London for now amid rumours linking him with the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona and Juventus.

Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin has insisted that he is "happy" in London for now, but refused to rule out the possibility of moving elsewhere in the future.

Bellerin has been linked with a move away from the Gunners following a troublesome season at the Emirates which saw him lose his place in the side at one stage.

The likes of Manchester United, Barcelona and Juventus have been credited with an interest in the 23-year-old Spain international, but Bellerin has suggested that he is not ready to leave Arsenal just yet.

"I don't know what to say – football always changes. I'm so happy here. This has been my home for seven years. I sound like a Londoner, my friends are from London – it's the place I want to be right now. In the future, you never know. Obviously, I grew up in Barcelona, and when I watch them play I want them to win. The team are always going to be in my heart," he said in an interview with Mr Porter.

"At the beginning, I was someone who was doing really well. Then when things started going not that well, everything was just negative, negative, negative. As a team, if you don't have the best season, it doesn't help...It's been a tough one.

"We were doing well until November. We always have that period where we suffer a little bit. As a team, the most important thing is results. If you can win beautifully like [Manchester] City do – even better."

Bellerin has made 45 appearances for Arsenal across all competitions this season, scoring three goals and creating five more.
