Liverpool are reportedly ready to join the race to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey during the summer transfer window.

Liverpool have reportedly identified Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey as a potential summer signing.

While the Merseyside giants sit 22 points clear at the top of the Premier League standings, Jurgen Klopp is expected to make several significant additions before the beginning of the next campaign.

According to Cadena Ser, the German holds an interest in bringing in Partey, who has impressed for Atletico this season.

The 26-year-old, who can also play at right-back, has made 31 appearances in La Liga and the Champions League, which includes a strong outing against Liverpool last month.

The Ghana international is said to have a release clause of £42m, a fee which will lead to interest in his signature.

Arsenal are allegedly monitoring the situation as they look for value for money in the transfer market.
