David Luiz will reportedly pen a two-year contract at Arsenal, providing that he completes a transfer from Chelsea on deadline day.

Arsenal have reportedly offered a two-year deal to Chelsea defender David Luiz.

Reports emerged on Thursday afternoon that Luiz had expressed a desire to sign for the Gunners, despite having only recently penned a contract extension at Chelsea.

However, it quickly became apparent that a transfer is likely to be concluded on deadline day after a fee of £8m was allegedly agreed between the two clubs

According to The Mirror, the 32-year-old will be given terms at the Emirates Stadium which will last until the end of the 2020-21 campaign.

Luiz, who is regarded as a direct replacement for Laurent Koscielny, is expected to be joined in North London by Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney.
