Alan Pardew: Chances of Yohan Cabaye going are "50-50"

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew rates Yohan Cabaye's chances of staying with the Magpies as "50-50" following reported interest from Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew rates Yohan Cabaye's chances of staying at the club as "50-50".

The French midfielder has been a reported target for Arsenal and has been left out of tomorrow's League Cup tie against Morecambe due to speculation.

Pardew, who is also targeting bringing players in before the transfer deadline, feels that the former Lille's man could well be on his way in the window.

"Now if Cabaye goes, and that's 50-50 in my opinion, we need to replace him," Pardew is quoted as saying in The Telegraph.

"That would be very unsettling for me and our fans. The bottom line with a world-class player is that it would have to be world-class money for us to let him go.

"I think it's fairly evident, even before the Cabaye situation, we need to bring at least one or two players in and that hasn't changed. We need to bring two players in."

Paris Saint-Germain have also recently been linked with Cabaye.
