Teenager Julio Pleguezuelo pens professional Arsenal contract

Arsenal teenager Julio Pleguezuelo signs his first professional contract with the Gunners.

Arsenal teenager Julio Pleguezuelo has signed his first professional contract with the North London club.

The 17-year-old defender has featured regularly for Arsenal's Under-18 and Under-19 sides this season, helping the Gunners reach the UEFA Youth League quarter-finals.

"Everyone at Arsenal would like to congratulate Julio on his first professional contract and we look forward to his continued progression with the club," read a statement on the club's website.

Pleguezuelo, who is a Spanish youth international, joined the Gunners from Barcelona in the summer of 2013.
