Arsenal and Aaron Ramsey are reportedly close to reaching an agreement over a contract extension for the midfielder.
It is believed that the Gunners are prepared to reward the Welsh international for his form this season prior to the injury which has sidelined him since December, having scored 13 goals in all competitions.
Upon the confirmation of the new deal, the 23-year-old will have doubled his wages to more than £100,000 a week, according to the London Evening Standard.
Earlier today Arsenal also revealed that Per Mertesacker and Tomas Rosicky had accepted the offer of fresh terms from the club.
