Dominik Szoboszlai agent hints at exit amid Arsenal links

Dominik Szoboszlai's agent confirms that he is set to leave RB Salzburg, but the attacker must move to a club which can guarantee him regular first-team action.

The agent of Red Bull Salzburg attacker Dominik Szoboszlai has confirmed that the 20-year-old is close to departing the Austrian top flight amid links with several top clubs.

Szoboszlai has become one of the hottest prospects in Europe over the past year and has continued his fine form with Salzburg this season, scoring five goals and setting up nine more across all competitions.

The Hungary international has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal since emerging onto the scene, with European heavyweights Bayern Munich and Real Madrid also said to be in the race for his signature.

Szoboszlai's agent Esterhazy Matyas, who allegedly confirmed Arsenal's interest in the youngster earlier this month, told Digisport: "Obviously, it's no secret that Dominik is closer now to leaving the Austrian league.

"We're seeing that every time he has a good game, which fortunately is happening quite often, the rumours are getting stronger. However, our strategy isn't going to change because of one or two games.

"We have belief in our own plans and the vision we had originally is only getting stronger because all of the comments we are reading only prove that we are on the right path.

"Whether it's in January or next summer, the most important thing is that he goes to a club where he will have a good chance of playing regularly and continuing the learning curve he started in Salzburg – that's the most important thing for us."

Szoboszlai recently sent Hungary through to next year's European Championships with a stunning solo effort in injury time against Iceland in their playoff final.
