Half-Time Report: Monaco hold narrow lead over Rennes in Coupe de France clash

Goals from Wallace and Almamy Toure hand Monaco a narrow 2-1 lead at the break in their Coupe de France clash in the last 16 of the competition.

Monaco hold a 2-1 lead at the break in their Coupe de France clash against Rennes at the Stade Louis II.

The home side got off to the perfect start in the game when they went ahead in the ninth minute through Almamy Toure as he fired an effort past Benoit Costil.

Leonardo Jardim's side doubled their advantage two minutes later as Brazilian midfielder Wallace found the net with a low strike to put them in command of the match.

However, the visitors got themselves back in the tie in the 34th minute when Pedro Henrique reduced the deficit as he beat the outstretched hand of Maarten Stekelenburg.
