Team News: AS Monaco rest quartet ahead of Arsenal match

Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim rests four key players for their Ligue 1 match against Bastia ahead of the second leg of their Champions League tie with Arsenal.

AS Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim has rested Dimitar Berbatov, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Yannick Ferreira Carrasco and Jeremy Toulalan for their match with Bastia.

Jardim shuffles his pack ahead of Tuesday's return leg against Arsenal, when Monaco hope to defend their 3-1 lead and reach the Champions League quarter-finals.

Ricardo Carvalho returns to captain the principality outfit, who also hand starts to Nabil Dirar and Matheus Carvalho.

Bastia, who have only lost one of their last 16 games in all competitions, are without former Arsenal defender Sebastien Squillaci and captain Yannick Cahuzac.

Basel loanee Giovanni Sio and Ryad Boudebouz also drop out of the team which beat Nice 2-1 last weekend as Romaric, Florian Marange, Mathieu Peybernes and Junior Tallo are recalled to the starting XI.

Victory tonight would take Monaco to within three points of third-placed Marseille in the Ligue 1 table.
