Dimitar Berbatov wants AS Monaco stay

Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov says that he would like to remain with Monaco after his loan switch expires at the end of the season.

Dimitar Berbatov has revealed that he would like to stay at AS Monaco beyond the end of this season.

The Fulham striker joined the Ligue 1 outfit on loan in January, after forward Radamel Falcao suffered a serious knee injury.

The Bulgarian scored on Sunday to help Monaco beat Nice 1-0 at the Stade Louis II.

"My future? Everything is fine for me here, I play and score," Berbatov told L'Equipe.

"When the season is over, we will sit around a table and we will decide if I stay or leave.

"I am doing my job on the pitch so far and I try to prove I am quite good. Do I want to stay at Monaco? Yes, I would like to stay."

Berbatov has scored three goals in nine appearances for Monaco.
