After failing to secure a playoff spot from a relatively-promising position, Cardiff fans would have been expecting to see several incomings by this stage.
As it stands, though, no additions have been made, Erol Bulut saying that they could arrive over the coming days as he bids to step up their preparations for the new Championship campaign.
Speaking to Cardiff City TV, Bulut said: "The atmosphere is good. I think it will be much, much better when new players come in.
"I hope it's going to happen soon next week. We are negotiating with a few players. I hope we can get it done next week. Two or three players. We are negotiating right now."
This is one of three games to be played in the space of a week, with KV Kortrijk and Penybont also due to play at the Cardiff International Sports Campus.
From Kidderminster's perspective, this also represents their first fixture of the month as they look to get back on track after relegation from the National League.
Phil Brown has remained at the helm with Harriers having made a respectable effort to stay in the fifth tier, but they will be viewed as title contenders now they have dropped down a division.
As it stands, there has been youth and experience added to the ranks - 36-year-old Luke Summerfield from Halifax Town and 20-year-old Maliq Cadogan on loan from Swansea City.

With this being the first game for both clubs, it is unclear how strong either manager will go for this fixture.
Even if Cardiff make a signing before this contest, it appears unlikely that Bulut would risk them with minimal time to meet their teammates.
We say: Cardiff City 3-0 Kidderminster Harriers
Although the teams might be on a level playing field in terms of fitness, that should not impact on the final result. Cardiff's players will be wanting to impress Bulut, leading us to predict a one-sided game in South Wales.
