Aston Villa winger Marc Albrighton has revealed that he has made "sacrifices" this summer to win a spot in Paul Lambert's team next season.
The 23-year-old, who managed just nine appearances last season, was dogged by a number of injury complaints as Villa secured Premier League safety.
"I just want to get fit and over the summer work hard. I've got to sort of forfeit my holidays to some extent, but that's the sacrifices you've got to make if you want to make it to the top," he told the Birmingham Mail.
"I'm willing to do that just to get back to what I love doing next season."
Albrighton has just one year remaining on his current deal.
