Brad Guzan backs Aston Villa's strikers to fire the club away from the relegation zone.

Brad Guzan has insisted that Aston Villa's strikers can score the goals to keep the club in the Premier League.

Christian Benteke has scored 11 goals for Paul Lambert's side so far this season. Both he and Charles N'Zogbia netted in their team's 2-1 win over West Ham United last Sunday.

"There are quite a few lads who can really smash a ball," the goalkeeper told the club's official website.

"I'm just thankful that they do it on a weekend when it matters. The strikers for us have been fantastic. You can add Charles into that mix too. I think a lot of people forget that Christian is only 22. A lot of responsibility has been put on to his shoulders.

"He is such a big part of our team and he is not the only one. We know as a team we all have to help him and he has to help us and it is a collective unit."

Villa have scored 25 goals in 26 Premier League games.
