Aston Villa owner Randy Lerner is reportedly due to arrive in England later this week to complete talks regarding a proposed £150m takeover of the club.
The American billionaire has been looking to end his nine-year association with the Villans for some time, and it is said that negotiations with a consortium, which began at the turn of the year, are now close to being concluded.
It is suggested by The Telegraph that Lerner's £3m farmhouse, located close to Villa's Bodymoor Heath training ground, is also part of the deal.
Should an agreement be reached, it is also claimed that the consortium, led by one major investor and a small number of global backers, will be given the green light to take over this summer.
Villa, now being guided by Tim Sherwood, are currently sitting three points above the Premier League relegation zone.
