Tim Sherwood "not pleased" with Jack Grealish's 'laughing gas' incident

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood insists that the club will not accept certain behaviour after Jack Grealish was pictured allegedly inhaling 'laughing gas'.

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has insisted that the club do not "condone" certain behaviour after youngster Jack Grealish was pictured in a national newspaper apparently inhaling 'laughing gas'.

The image, which is said to have been taken a year ago, shows Grealish allegedly inhaling legal high nitrous oxide through a balloon.

The photo has emerged a matter of weeks after both Liverpool star Raheem Sterling and West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino were allegedly pictured performing the same act on separate occasions.

When asked about the incident involving 19-year-old Grealish, Sherwood told reporters in today's press conference: "I'm not pleased, obviously. I spoke to Jack first thing this morning as he came in. I explained to him his behaviour can't be tolerated by the football club.

"We can't condone that behaviour, but, as I said about Raheem last week, he's a young man, he was even younger a year earlier when the picture was taken.

"It doesn't matter how young he is, he is now in a responsible position as a professional footballer. He's got to make sure it won't happen again; he's assured me it won't."

Grealish has worked his way into the first team at Villa Park this season.
