Aston Villa have confirmed that Paul Lambert has agreed to become the club's new manager.
The Scottish boss has been in discussions with the Villains over the past couple of days since he informed the Norwich City board that he was keen on the vacancy at Villa Park.
"The board of Aston Villa are delighted to confirm that Paul Lambert has been appointed Villa manager," read a short statement on the club's official website.
Lambert's move has brought an end to his three-year stint at Carrow Road, having guided the Canaries to successive promotions.
The 42-year-old has also managed Livingston, Wycombe Wanderers and Colchester United.
He has replaced Alex McLeish, who was sacked earlier this month following 12 months at the helm.
