Djibril Cisse scored on his Queens Park Rangers debut, but they threw away a two-goal lead as they drew 2-2 with Aston Villa at Villa Park this evening.

The striker netted his first goal following his move from Lazio when he fired past Shay Given after 12 minutes.

The away side's lead was doubled 15 minutes later when Stephen Warnock headed into his own net under no pressure from the opposition.

Villa continued to chip away and went close when Robbie Keane lashed the ball against the crossbar from 12 yards out.

They reduced the deficit before the break when Darren Bent slotted in for the 100th Premier League goal of his career.

Robbie Keane was denied by Paddy Kenny after the break before another Rangers debutant, Taye Taiwo, flashed a shot past the Villa goal.

Jamie Mackie should have done better for the visitors when he was found in a crowded area, but he could only miss the ball from six yards.

They were made to pay as Charles N'Zogbia volleyed in Stilian Petrov's ball at the back post to level the game up with ten minutes to play.
