Gabriel Agbonlahor scores the only goal of the game as Aston Villa maintain their 100 percent pre-season record under Paul Lambert.

Aston Villa have continued their impressive pre-season form under new boss Paul Lambert with a comfortable win over MLS outfit Chicago Fire.

Lambert fielded what appeared to be his strongest possible lineup for the match at Toyota Park, with Darren Bent the only notable absentee as a result of a minor thigh strain.

Gabriel Agbonlahor scored the only goal of the game - heading in at the near post after 29 minutes - but he was substituted in the second half after taking a knock to his ankle.

Villa, who were captained by Fabian Delph, have now won all three of their first-team friendlies so far.

Next up for Lambert's men is a trip to Portland Timbers. Kickoff is at 4am (UK time) on Wednesday.
