Darron Gibson will make his Everton debut this afternoon at Aston Villa, just 24 hours after completing a move to the Toffees from Manchester United.
Loanee Landon Donovan also starts for Everton, who have Louis Saha up front as a lone striker.
Hosts Villa have recalled goalkeeper Shay Given following a six-week injury, while Darren Bent partners Gabriel Agbonlahor in attack.
