Atletico Madrid see off Levante

Atletico Madrid have cut Barcelona's lead at the top of the La Liga table down to eight points with a 2-0 win at home to Levante.

Following a positive start for the home side, they took the lead with 31 minutes on the clock as Adrian was on hand at the back post to convert Javier Manquillo's cross.

Atletico's advantage was doubled on the hour when Koke's spectacular long-range effort flew into the top corner.

The hosts nearly added to their tally late on, but Cristian Rodriguez's stinging effort came back off the crossbar.
