Atletico Madrid are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Lyon forward Moussa Dembele on loan for the rest of the season.
The 24-year-old played a starring role in Les Gones' 2019-20 campaign, but he has failed to have as much of an impact for the Ligue 1 leaders this time around.
The strong form of Memphis Depay, Tinotenda Kadewere and Karl Toko Ekambi has limited Dembele's opportunities this season, and the striker is currently in the treatment room after breaking his arm last month.
According to Marca, Atletico have identified Dembele as an ideal replacement for the recently-departed Diego Costa, and a deal should be wrapped up within the next couple of weeks.
The report adds that the agreement does not include an option to buy, but Diego Simeone's side could try to strike a permanent deal for Dembele if he manages to impress at the Wanda Metropolitano over the next six months.
The former Celtic and Fulham man has started just six league games this term, and his only goal of the season so far came in Lyon's 3-0 win over Reims back in November.
