Emiliano Insua joins Stuttgart

Stuttgart sign Emiliano Insua on a three-year deal from Atletico Madrid.

Stuttgart have announced the signing of former Liverpool defender Emiliano Insua.

The Argentine left-back joins the Bundesliga outfit on a three-year deal from Atletico Madrid, whom he joined in 2013 but spent last season on loan with Rayo Vallecano.

"The signing of Emiliano Insua is another step in our senior management succession planning," said the club's board representative for sport, Robin Dutt.

"We are delighted that he will wear the jersey and we wish him a good start at VfB."

The 26-year-old left the Reds for Sporting Lisbon in 2011.
