West Ham United and Aston Villa have allegedly identified James Rodriguez as a potential summer transfer target.
After a mixed period with Everton during the 2020-21 campaign, the Colombia international was allowed to move to Qatari side Al-Rayyan.
In 15 appearances, Rodriguez has showed his class with five goals and seven assists, but recent reports have claimed that he is eyeing up a return to Europe.
According to Fichajes, West Ham and Villa are both monitoring the situation ahead of potentially launching a bid for the 30-year-old.
With regards to Villa, the report claims that Rodriguez is regarded as a cheaper alternative to Philippe Coutinho, who will cost £33m if Villa want to sign the Barcelona playmaker on a permanent basis.
Atletico Madrid, rivals of the player's former club Real Madrid, are also said to be admirers of Rodriguez, but any interested club will have to consider that he still has over two years remaining on his contract.
