Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta concedes that he may have played his final Champions League match for the club following their defeat at the hands of Roma.

Andres Iniesta has said that exiting the Champions League to Roma "hurts even more" as it could be his final European match for Barcelona.

The legendary Spanish midfielder has yet to decide whether to stay on at Camp Nou for another season, having been tempted by the lure of the Far East.

Barca lost 3-0 in the second leg to crash out 4-4 on away goals, leaving Iniesta to concede that he may have featured in the Champions League - a competition that he has won four times - for the final time.

"That is a possibility and for that reason it hurts even more," he told Marca. "It's a very hurtful elimination because nobody expected it due to the lead we had.

"When you do things badly, make lots of mistakes and don't adapt to the game, this is what happens. It's a big disappointment because of the season we were having. It's difficult to take this elimination because we had a lot of hope and it has escaped."

Roma and Liverpool are the confirmed teams in the semi-finals and will be joined by two of Bayern Munich, Sevilla, Real Madrid and Juventus.
