How Barcelona could line up against Real Betis

Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Sunday's La Liga clash with Real Betis.

Barcelona will be looking to strengthen their grip on first position in La Liga when they make the trip to eighth-placed Real Betis this weekend.

Ernesto Valverde's side sit seven points clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid at the summit and will enter the match off the back of a 5-1 win over Lyon in the second leg of their last-16 Champions League tie, which saw them book their spot in the quarter-finals of the competition.

It is now 15 games since Barca last lost in the league, but that defeat came against their opponents this weekend, who recorded a 4-3 victory at Camp Nou back in November.

The treble is very much on for Barca as they will also face Valencia in the final of the Copa del Rey, but their attention this weekend will be on overcoming a dangerous Betis in Seville.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at how Valverde's side could line up on Sunday night.

POSS BAR XI vs. BET

Out: Rafinha (knee), Thomas Vermaelen (muscle), Ousmane Dembele (hamstring)

Rafinha and Thomas Vermaelen remain on the sidelines for Barca, and the pair have been joined by Ousmane Dembele, who picked up a hamstring injury against Lyon.

Dembele is now facing three to four weeks on the sidelines, meaning that Philippe Coutinho should again get the nod alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in the final third of the field.

There are expected to be alterations from the team that started against Lyon, though, with Nelson Semedo and Arturo Vidal pushing to be involved ahead of Sergi Roberto and Arthur.

Samuel Umtiti should also come back in for Clement Lenglet in central defence, but the likes of Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic and Jordi Alba will all be included in the XI once again.
