Agent: 'Ronaldinho not retiring'

The agent of Brazil and Barcelona legend Ronaldinho denies suggestions that his client is poised to retire.

The agent of Brazil and Barcelona legend Ronaldinho has refuted suggestions that his client will retire after leaving Fluminense this week.

The 35-year-old quit the Brazilian side by mutual consent despite only joining in July, prompting speculation that the two-time FIFA World Player of the Year would end his illustrious career.

His representative Roberto Assis told Folha De Sao Paulo: "Are you crazy? No chance, you'll have more surprises yet.

"He has to be happy on the field and feel good about himself. He has an advantage over many others in that he has never suffered from a serious injury. And while he still has that flicker then great."

Ronaldinho joined Barcelona from Paris Saint-Germain in 2003 and went on to win two Primera Divisions and a Champions League title, before joining AC Milan in 2008.

The Brazilian playmaker, who also helped his nation to World Cup glory in 2002, helped the Rossoneri to a Serie A crown in the 2010-11 campaign.

Ronaldinho had made just nine appearances for Fluminense.
