Former Espanyol boss Luis Fernandez expects Pep Guardiola to return to Barcelona one day.

Former Espanyol boss Luis Fernandez has said that he expects Pep Guardiola to return to Barcelona one day.

Guardiola, who announced last week that he will resign from his position at the end of the current campaign, leaves assistant boss Tito Vilanova in charge at the Camp Nou. However, Fernandez is confident that he will return to the club in the future.

"He will return to the club and train," he told Cope Esports.

"He has given Barcelona a team, a style of football and left an extraordinary image."

Fernandez has been out of management following his recent stint with the Israeli national team.
