Luis Suarez: 'Barcelona need to suffer'

Following their 2-1 win over Las Palmas, Luis Suarez admits that Barcelona "need to suffer" if they are to win the La Liga title.

Luis Suarez has insisted that Barcelona's clash with Las Palmas yesterday afternoon was the sort of game that wins league titles.

Visiting Barca were made to work hard by their hosts, but they eventually won 2-1 thanks to goals from Suarez and Neymar.

The result has moved Luis Enrique's men nine points clear at the top of the table, and the Uruguayan striker told the club's official website: "You need to suffer if you want to win titles.

"The last two away trips have presented plenty of difficulties, but we've got the three points again.

"We have played a lot of games in the last month and a half. But the players want to play and enjoy continuity. Even when we struggle in matches, we still enjoy ourselves."

Barca are next in action on Tuesday when they face Arsenal in the Champions League at the Emirates Stadium.
