New Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino reveals that Lionel Messi's position in the side won't change with the arrival of Neymar.

Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino has insisted that Lionel Messi will remain in his favoured 'false nine' position next season.

Messi's position at Barcelona has come under some scrutiny following the signing of Neymar, who is said to be a player similar to the four-time FIFA Ballon d'Or winner.

However, Martino is eager to ensure that Messi feels comfortable in the side and believes that retaining his position is the best way to do that.

"He will continue to play in exactly the same position. He has to feel comfortable; after that he'll do the rest," the 50-year-old told reporters.

Martino was officially unveiled as Barcelona's new coach earlier this afternoon having taken over from Tito Vilanova.
