Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman says that he has not been contacted by club president Joan Laporta to discuss his future.

Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman has said that he has not been contacted by club president Joan Laporta to discuss his future at Camp Nou.

Wednesday's 3-0 loss to Benfica in the Champions League has piled the pressure on Koeman, and there has been widespread speculation surrounding the Dutchman's future in recent days.

The 58-year-old will remain in charge for Saturday's La Liga clash with Atletico Madrid, but the contest could be his last at the helm.

Koeman has acknowledged that rumours of his impending departure could be "true", but the Dutchman has not spoken with Laporta on the matter.

"The club have said nothing to me," Koeman told reporters. "I've learned that the president was [at the training ground] this morning, but I have not seen him.

"We're preparing for Saturday's game. I can't say anything. But I have eyes and ears and I know a lot of things have been leaked, which I imagine are true, but no one has said anything to me."

Belgium boss Roberto Martinez has been linked with the position but recently said that he has not been in contact with the Catalan giants over the role.
