RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Barcelona.
The Spanish champions are widely expected to move for a new centre-forward ahead of the 2020-21 campaign and have been strongly linked with Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez.
Inter will allegedly refuse to sell unless the Argentine's £94m release clause is met, though, and according to Mundo Deportivo, Barca are considering switching their attention to Werner.
The Germany international, who has also been linked with Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City, has found the back of the net on 27 occasions in 36 appearances at club level this term.
The 24-year-old only signed a new contract with Leipzig last August, but there is believed to be a release clause in the attacker's current deal.
Werner has netted 21 Bundesliga goals during the 2019-20 campaign, while he has also struck four times in eight Champions League appearances this term.
