Ariedo Braida: 'Pedro will remain at Barcelona'

Pedro will not leave Barcelona during the summer transfer window, according to the club's international sporting director Ariedo Braida.

Barcelona international sporting director Ariedo Braida has insisted that Pedro will not be allowed to leave the club during the summer.

Pedro has been limited to 20 starts for the Catalan giants since the start of the season, with a further 26 appearances coming from the bench, but despite reported interest from Inter Milan, Braida has revealed that the winger will remain at Camp Nou.

Braida told FcInterNews.it: "He'll carry on as a Barcelona player. He's incredibly important for us and he won't leave.

"He has a contract to continue at the Camp Nou and will do, even more so given the FIFA sanction. I don't think we'll change our minds in January, he's an important player."

The 27-year-old has made 254 appearances for Barcelona since his introduction into the first team in 2007.
