Carles Perez has admitted that he is still "very hurt" by his January exit from Barcelona.
The 22-year-old made 12 appearances for the Spanish champions in the first half of the 2019-20 campaign but was allowed to join Roma in the latter stages of the January transfer window.
The Spaniard is only on loan with the Italian side, although the deal is expected to become permanent at the end of the current season.
Having lost Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele to injuries, Barca completed the emergency signing of Martin Braithwaite last week, and Perez has hit out at the Catalan giants for letting him leave in the winter window.
"I am very hurt by the situation," Perez told Marca. "I dreamed of playing in the first team with Barcelona and I achieved that. But the club chose to then take that away from me.
"They talk a lot about the youth team, but it is just talk. But I do not focus on that, I have disconnected. Barcelona is in the past, and now I am focused on Roma."
Perez, who made 13 appearances in total for Barca, scored the only goal of the match as Roma recorded a 1-0 win over Gent in the first leg of their last-32 Europa League clash on Thursday night.
