Martin Montoya, Gerard Pique heading for new Barcelona deals

Barcelona defenders Martin Montoya and Gerard Pique will both be offered new long-term contracts.

Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu has revealed that defenders Martin Montoya and Gerard Pique will both be offered new long-term contracts.

Montoya, who has been widely linked with a move away from the club, sees his current deal expire in the summer, but Bartomeu has confirmed that the right-back will be offered fresh terms.

Meanwhile, Pique is also heading for contract talks with his current deal due to expire at the end of next season.

"First it'll be Montoya, which is in the final stages, and then Pique, who we're starting to talk to," the Barcelona president told AS.

Barcelona currently top La Liga.
