Barcelona president Sandro Rosell reveals that he likes a German player based in the Bundesliga "a lot" but refuses to say if he is Mats Hummels.

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has hinted that the club could make an approach to Borussia Dortmund to sign Mats Hummels in the summer.

The 24-year-old defender has been linked with the Spanish giants in recent months as a long-term replacement for centre-back Carles Puyol.

"There is a German player who I like a lot, but I cannot say his name," Rosell told German TV show Aktuelle Sportstudio when asked if there are any Bundesliga players he is interested in.

"If, in the end, we go for him, that would drive up the price."

Hummels's current contract with Dortmund runs until June 2017.
