Bayern Munich take on FC Basel tomorrow evening looking to overturn a 1-0 deficit. Here, Sports Mole examines the German club's chances of progression.

Bayern Munich warmed up for tomorrow's Champions League tie with FC Basel by recording a 7-1 win over Hoffenheim on Saturday.

The German giants will require another victory if they are to progress through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, having lost the first leg to Basel 1-0.

The weekend's win over Hoffenheim came at a cost for Bayern, as they now have injury doubts over Mario Gomez, Arjen Robben and Jerome Boateng.

Visiting Basel have no new injury concerns ahead of their trip to Germany as they look to defend their slender advantage.

Bayern will be boosted by a record of 11 victories from their last 12 home matches in European competitions.

Basel have not lost a domestic fixture since August 2011.

Current form:

Bayern: WDLWWW
Basel: DDWWWW

Possible lineups:

Bayern: Neuer; Lahm, Boateng, Badstuber, Alaba; Kroos, Schweinsteiger, Robben, Muller, Ribery; Muller

Basel: Sommer; Steinhofer, Abraham, Dragovic, Degen; Shaqiri, Huggel, G.Xhaka, F.Frei; Streller, A.Frei

Sports Mole says: 3-1
