Bayern Munich "very worried" about Arturo Vidal

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says that his club are "very worried" about the fitness of midfielder Arturo Vidal.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has admitted that his club are "very worried" about the fitness of Arturo Vidal, who suffered an injury while representing Chile on Thursday night.

The 29-year-old picked up an adductor problem during Chile's 0-0 draw with Colombia, but it is understood that he will take part in his country's next 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uruguay next week.

Rummenigge, however, has called on Chile not to take any unnecessary risks with the former Juventus midfielder.

"Bayern Munich are very worried about Arturo Vidal's health," Rummenigge told Bild. "We urge the Chilean Football Association to deal with this situation responsibly and sensibly. It should be a given that the player's health is top priority."

Vidal has scored three times in 15 appearances for Bayern this season.
