Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng eager for Pep Guardiola stay

Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng reveals that he and the rest of the squad are desperate for coach Pep Guardiola to stay with the club.

Jerome Boateng has revealed that the whole of the Bayern Munich squad is eager for coach Pep Guardiola to stay with the club.

Guardiola has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena during the past year.

The 44-year-old, who has won five major honours in two years at Bayern, is understood to be on the radar of Manchester City.

"My feeling is that he gives everything for the club. We notice that in the training," Boateng told Goal.com. "He wants to make everyone better and make us better as a team. That's the priority at the moment. He, his family and the people from FC Bayern must decide what will happen in the future. We all want him to stay."

Bayern are currently in second place in the Bundesliga table, level on points with leaders Borussia Dortmund.
