Mario Gotze eyes Bayern Munich improvement

Bayern Munich playmaker Mario Gotze concedes that they must improve their performances over the coming weeks despite a decent start to their Bundesliga season.

Mario Gotze has admitted that his Bayern Munich side must improve over the coming weeks.

The German champions continued their unbeaten start to the new Bundesliga campaign by beating Stuttgart 2-0 on Saturday.

However, Gotze, who scored in that encounter, has insisted that performances need to be better.

"We know that we need to improve, but for now the important thing is that we picked up all three points," the 22-year-old told reporters. "That was our priority and so we can be satisfied.

"Of course we have a few injured players but every club has the same situation. The players we have available are fit and we've got a very good side."

Next up for Bayern is a home Champions League group fixture against Manchester City this week.
