Bastian Schweinsteiger: Bayern Munich in "good shape"

Bastian Schweinsteiger believes that Bayern Munich are set up well to start the new season in winning style.

Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has claimed that his side are feeling good about the new season, which for them kicks off on Saturday night against Borussia Dortmund in the German Supercup.

Schweinsteiger said that the match is important in order to start the new season with a winning mentality and that Bayern will do all they can to claim a victory at Signal Iduna Park.

"The Supercup is definitely important," he told Bundesliga.com. "For us, every game is important. We can't allow ourselves to go into any game thinking a draw would be good enough.

"We want to win in Dortmund, but we know it's hard to play there. I think we're in pretty good shape so far in pre-season, but they are tough opponents.

"Everybody may be talking about us, but we're not. We're just trying to do our job as well as possible and then we'll see what comes out of it."

Bayern beat Dortmund in May's Champions League final.
