Saturday's Bundesliga predictions including Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Dortmund

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Bundesliga fixtures, including Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Dortmund.

RB Leipzig vs. Mainz (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Mainz 05 will be looking to extend their six-match unbeaten run when they travel to RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

The hosts, meanwhile, head into the weekend one point adrift of the Champions League qualification positions.

We say: RB Leipzig 2-1 Mainz 05

Leipzig have been extremely consistent at the Red Bull Arena during Rose's tenure, and we expect them to deliver another home victory to potentially move into the top four on Saturday.

However, Mainz have proven tough to beat throughout the majority of Svensson's two-year reign, and this weekend's meeting with Die Roten Bullen should prove no different even if they may fall short in the end.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Union Berlin vs. Stuttgart (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Union Berlin will be aiming to keep pace with the Bundesliga's top two teams by beating Stuttgart on Saturday.

The visitors, meanwhile, head into the weekend rock-bottom of the table having collected only one point from their last four matches.

We say: Union Berlin 2-1 Stuttgart

Despite there being 28 points and 15 positions separating these two teams prior to Saturday's encounter, we can envisage a closely-fought affair at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei.

As previously discussed, Stuttgart have found themselves on the wrong end of several tight games so far this season, and we can envisage a similar outcome with the hosts marginally prevailing this weekend.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Freiburg vs. Hertha Berlin (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Freiburg will be aiming to maintain their place within the Bundesliga's Champions League qualification places by beating Hertha Berlin on Saturday.

The visitors, meanwhile, head into the weekend in the relegation playoff spot, which is exactly where they finished last season.

We say: Freiburg 3-1 Hertha Berlin

Even without Gregoritsch's towering presence and goalscoring touch in attack, we expect Freiburg to have too much quality for Hertha, who have been wretched on the road all season long.

Whether Streich utilises a 3-4-3 or 4-2-3-1 formation is unlikely to matter too much, as his players are comfortable within either system, while their overall goal of a top-four finish looks set to drive them on between now and the end of the campaign.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Wolfsburg vs. Augsburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Wolfsburg will be aiming to end a winless run of four league games at the Volkswagen Arena when they host Augsburg on Saturday.

The visitors, meanwhile, could move one step closer towards securing their safety by picking up a positive result in Lower Saxony.

We say: Wolfsburg 2-0 Augsburg

With Augsburg missing several important players through suspension and injury, we expect Wolfsburg to continue their assault on claiming a top-six spot by ending their recent woes on their home patch.

The Wolves have proven to be a consistent outfit since adapting to Kovac's methods, whereas Augsburg can be unpredictable under Maassen.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Schalke vs. B. Leverkusen (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Schalke 04 will aim to extend an eight-match unbeaten run – and enhance their chances of Bundesliga survival – when Bayer Leverkusen visit Gelsenkirchen on Saturday.

Despite a recent upturn in form, Schalke remain second from bottom in the Bundesliga table, while Leverkusen occupy eighth place following three consecutive wins.

We say: Schalke 04 1-2 Bayer Leverkusen

Having dispatched Bayern Munich before the international break, Bayer Leverkusen look set to end Schalke's unbeaten run on Saturday, although the hosts are expected to put up a decent fight.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Bayern vs. Dortmund (Saturday, 5.30pm)

A tumultuous time at 'FC Hollywood' continues on Saturday, as Bayern Munich tackle Bundesliga title rivals Borussia Dortmund in a crucial edition of Der Klassiker.

Following a downturn which saw Julian Nagelsmann ruthlessly sacked and replaced by ex-Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel, the champions trail their visitors by one point in the table; ahead of their trip to Allianz Arena, BVB sit top and have won nine of their last 10 league games.

We say: Bayern Munich 3-2 Borussia Dortmund

High-stakes encounters of this kind often peter out into a safety-first stalemate, but both of these teams like to go for the throat and there could be a few goals on the cards as a result.

Boasting the big-time mindset that comes with the territory in Munich, it is Bayern who are best placed to swing the title race in their favour - but not before several thrills and spills.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.
